Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal data matters to us. Below we explain which data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose and on what legal basis.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Reuter Consulting, owner Frank Hermann Reuter, Gerner Strasse 22, 80638 Munich, Germany

Phone: +49 (0)89 159 81 160 · Email: info@reuterconsulting.com

Appointing a data protection officer is not legally required.

2. General information on processing

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. We process such data exclusively within the limits of applicable law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and German federal data protection law.

Depending on the case, the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (b), a legal obligation (c) or our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (f).

3. Server log files

When you access this website, technically necessary access data is processed: IP address, date and time of access, file requested, volume of data transferred, status message, referring page as well as browser and operating system information.

This processing is based on our legitimate interest in operational security, error analysis and abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is not combined with other sources and is deleted after a short period.

4. Hosting and processing on our behalf

This website is operated by a specialised service provider whose servers are located within the European Union. The provider processes data solely on our instructions under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

5. Contact and contact form

If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process the details you provide — name, company, email address, selected topic and your message — solely to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR together with the consent you give in the form pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The data is not passed on to third parties.

To prevent automated submissions we limit the number of messages per sender address. The data is not analysed for advertising purposes.

6. Retention period

We delete personal data as soon as the purpose of processing ceases to apply — for enquiries, once they have been dealt with. Where commercial or tax retention obligations apply, we keep the relevant records for the legally prescribed period, generally six years under section 257 HGB and ten years under section 147 AO.

7. Cookies and local storage

This website does not use cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking. Only your selected language version is stored in your browser local storage so the site opens in the desired language next time. This storage is technically necessary and therefore does not require consent (section 25(2) TDDDG).

You can delete this entry at any time via your browser settings.

8. Audience measurement (visit statistics)

To understand which content of this website is used, we operate our own cookieless audience measurement. No cookies are set, no data is stored in your browser and no data is transmitted to third parties such as Google Analytics.

For each page view we record: the page requested, language version, the origin of the visit (e.g. search engine or referring website), country, device category as well as date and time. Your IP address is not stored. To group repeat views within a single day, a non-reversible checksum is generated which changes daily and does not allow recognition beyond that day.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the needs-based design and improvement of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). As no cookies are used and no profiling takes place, consent is not required.

Individual records are deleted after 90 days; beyond that we retain anonymous daily totals only. From this data we generate a summary report at a configurable interval, which is sent internally by email to recipients designated by us. The report contains no personal data.

9. Fonts and external content

All fonts used are served from our own server. No connection is made to third-party servers, in particular not to Google Fonts. No external map, video or analytics services are embedded.

10. Insurance mediation and partner portal

From the international health insurance section you can open a partner comparison and application portal. Before you switch we display a notice informing you that you are leaving our website. Data processing within the partner portal is the sole responsibility of its operator and is governed by its own privacy policy.

In the context of insurance mediation we process your details in order to advise, arrange and service insurance contracts and to meet our documentation obligations under German insurance contract and mediation law.

11. Recipients and transfers to third countries

Your data is shared only where necessary to handle your request — for example with insurers or service providers acting on our instructions — or where we are legally required to do so. No transfer to countries outside the European Union takes place through this website.

12. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).

You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to info@reuterconsulting.com is sufficient to exercise your rights.

13. Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

14. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

15. Status of this policy

Last updated: September 2026. We will update this privacy policy whenever our processing activities or legal requirements change.
